I saw a post somewhere on these forums that mentioned Gorilla Glue poly. I bought some thinking it was the poly but it says it expands 3-4 times. Is this suitable for glueing fixed blade handles? Something tells me no but was hoping for some input.
No. And the yellow bubbly doesn't look nice. Plenty strong but not sure about hot/cool stability. Dev-Con is a step up. G/Flex & West System are on top-tier.
I wouldn't get gorilla glue anywhere near a knife. It does expand at least 4 times and will froth up and set with bubbles and holes like swiss cheese. It is weather proof enough to hold a solar light panel on my roofing shingles for two years now.
I've used it a few times on my test knives and it holds very well. If you are afraid of the mess it makes, remember that it can be cleaned up flawlessly with denatured alcohol.
