Gorrila Glue and hidden tangs

Interesting on the Devcon failing your tests? I know in general the 5min epoxy doesn't take as much heat as slow cure stuff. I use the slow cure stuff for all the heated grips I put on quads and sleds for customers. But allot of people use devcon for bedding rifles ect so it would be interesting what kind of failures your experiencing. I just use the 2 part slow cure epoxy from the local hobby store(9oz) Works great for knife handles, and when mixed with finely chopped fiberglass mat makes a great high strength filling material(great for bedding rifles)

I have been experimenting with "System Three" T-88 epoxy. Being a structural epoxy,it is amazingly strong. It sets in 6 hours (overnight cure), and will cure down to 35F (it will take a week, but it will cure). It is no shrink/expand, water-proof, and clear amber color (it takes dye well, too). I don't use finishes, but the mfg. says it takes varnish and such very well. Bonds most things well but polyethylene and similar plastics. They claim it bonds most regular plastics just fine.

If the results are good, i may switch from the K&G two part epoxy, which I feel is one of the best knife resins available. I'll post more as I learn on this stuff.
