For Sale – “Goshawk”– 1095 Differentially heat treated with Hamon; Beautiful Box Elder Burl

Here is another in my Birds of Prey Series – this one is similar to my Palm Caper but it’s a step up in materials and construction. It has the perfect fit and feel in the hand offering ultimate control for delicate work with birds or fish or when caping. Any hunting Dad would love it!

These were a bookmatched set but one side has a ton of eyes and the other side some beautiful curl with lots of chatoyance.

Not sure where or when it originated (probably Spain but...?)

It's the little circular notch on the blade right before the ricasso. They are usually much dressier than this. Some makers prefer them so you have a convenient place to start your sharpening without scratching the ricasso. I don't normally use them but on these knives it really serves you well on the cutting stroke. Nasty sharp little buggers they are. ;)

Thanks Chris! I like this design a lot too and they've been selling great in the local fly shops. This is the last one on BF for a little while.
