I was thinking about picking up a Sharpmaker until I saw that Amazon is now selling the Izula 2.

I just ordered my first ESEE yesterday (RC-4) and haven't even received it, now I'm thinking of getting another.

I think I have a bad case of ESEE syndrome...

I just got my 4 today as a gift, and I got an Izula II on Thursday. I got a Sharpmaker today also, I still haven't used it yet.

yea i just bought a HEST for last week, after already have the 4 & izula. and now i want a 6, thank god they are out of stock in OD Green at the site i shop at.

oh and the sharpmaker is definitely worth it as well. makes my knifes scary sharp.

I'd go for the Sharpmaker since it's something that you'll need for all of your knives. The only other thing I suggest you get is a good leather strop with grey and green compound. When your done with the Sharpmaker you run it over the grey side of the strop first, then the green. It will get rid of the wire edge that forms from sharpening your knives on the rods, polish up the edges, and give your edge that final razor sharp edge you'll be looking for. It's a piece of cake to learn also. Knivesshipfree sells a great kit and has a tutorial vid on the site of how to do it the right way.
