got a baggy today

Man, that's a beauty. Is it going to be a range gun or a carry gun? I don't know if I've seen checkering on the back of the slide before.

Major, it's not going to be a carry piece because I would prefer a more compact version like Aszhaman's Brown or maybe the Professional model which has a full size frame with a compact slide-very cool. They make it in a super grade version as well which means they put all the high end options on the gun and only the most experienced smiths at Wilson will be building it. This creates a gun that is a step above other 1911s that you will get from them and you can feel the difference when you work the slide and when you shoot the gun--significantly smoother and just.....something about it that I can't put in words....rafa1 knows what I'm talking about for sure-he has a sg.
Back to your question, I wouldn't call it a range gun either because that just......doesn't sound good enough.:D I think it I will just call it "My Baby", not by any means a safe queen. This one's going out to run on a regular basis just like all of my guns but every now and then, I might sleep with it on my night stand or somewhere hidden close to me when I sleep. "My Baby" ....yep that'll work. :D

Thanks for all the compliments towards the gun guys--I keep catching myself saying the same things to it. I'll give a full report when I take it to the range-I should have time this weekend to throw a some rounds through it.

+1 The best of all. The WC supergrades are the cream of the crop, these are handmade masterpieces that reflect the high art of pistolsmithing.photo1.jpgphoto2.JPGphoto4.jpgphoto5.jpgphoto6.JPG

I'm thinkn matte stainless for my next one too. That just looks so ....good. I like that finish much more than the two tone stainless that they used to do
It is bead blasted SS,this option is an upgrade, did you order directly from WC? you know that you can save few $$
if you order from a master dealer,I saved an average of $400 per gun.

Bead blasted SS, good to know. Yes, I do go through a master dealer and yes it has saved me a lot of money! Thanks for the heads up.

She is no longer a virgin!! Ran 150 rounds of 230 gr white box yesterday. 50 rounds of it was the Winclean small primer stuff--very clean, almost looked like I didn't even shoot the gun after, then I ran the regular and got her nice and dirty. She ran flawlessly as expected...... So smooth and accurate, more accurate than I can shoot. This was 20 yards off hand, medium pace- it's been a while so I need some practice....had a few that I pulled as you can see and I was a little slower than I used to be. I had a great time regardless.

Great looking blaster I love the FCS removal in favor of the BHP style reduction..
I am having a carry Springer done like that by a local smith..

Man that is SWEET. Last time I was in Vegas a guy offered to sell me a baggy. Didn't have anything like that in it. I turned his baggy down. Don't think I could turn yours down.

Glad to see that it shoots as good as it looks.

Congrats
Garth

Nothing warms up my heart like a fellow Hog or Hoggette with a new pistol!

That is one beautiful 1911, Wolfdad. Well worthy of the baggy! And impressive performance, too!:cool:

If I was at in Ohio with it at a range with all of you Busse folks there, it would get passed around to whoever wanted to shoot it-if there is one thing about having something real nice that I love, it's letting other folks enjoy it as well...... Garth, your only requirement would be to let me shoot your new H&K tack driver-such an awesome gun as well......and Pokey, all I would require of you is a picture with you ....and a hug:rolleyes:...... azshaman, well, no requirements for you, you're a 1911 lover and you're into Busse knives and you have dogs- if we lived a little closer together you would probably be one of my best friends:). thanks for all the compliments everyone- I credit the Wilson smiths for those. ...................................

did I mention that ordered another one from them:eek: .....4 to 6 month wait on that one...........I should just stick to Busse knives cause these guns are draining my bank account a lot faster!!:D:D
