Was in the mood to try something new, so I ordered a Mantis and it arrived today.
Lockup is ROCK solid, no blade play at all. Quality construction all around. I was wanting a nice light low-profile EDC and the Mantis is sure that. Good ergonomics, despite being VERY thin. Blade came really sharp and the pocket clip is strong to the point it's almost to good. It takes effort to pull the knife out of your pocket, but I've seen that before and it ussually gets better with use. Overall, the Mantis kinda fits in the same area as a Benchmade Monochrome, but at half the price with equal quality. Actually a little better than a Monochrome to me, the spine of the mantis is a synthetic insert with ridges that give much better grip than the Monochrome has.
For a $20.00 knife, it's a winner.
