hey i have a case hobo, new in box yadda yadda yadda. Now i wanna know if its ok to hold up as an edc? its the fork/knife only, and if so any special oil or anything/?

It should make a fine knife. It's plenty strong(basically a trapper frame with a fork, insted of a spey blade:)). I would just wash it off after eating, etc....

HTH:D:).

Use them bad boys that is what they are for.Keep um clean.

I agree with the previous sentiment.....use the HOBO. I have a Rosewood Case Hobo(2-implement) that I use quite often. It has been used on quite a few T-bones. Like everyone else said, just make sure you keep it clean.

I would say Mineral oil or olive oil, especially if you're going to do some eatting with it:).

I think mineral oil would be good (food grade), I often use baby oil (it´s perfumed mineral oil), I believe olive or other vegetable oils should not be used because they may get gummy.

lol omg, i weas thinking if i put like wd40 LOL ow my stomach,,,,,,, yah ill get some food grade mineral oil, at the grocery store?

probably easier to find mineral oil at a pharmacy or some place like wal-mart. I guess it depends on your grocery store.

I had no idea where to look for mineral oil when I purchased my newest cutting board for the kitchen... I stumbled across it in the pharmacy area of the supermarket... think laxatives...

and don't put TOO much on the blades... ;)
