just wanted to give the community a heads up, I had recently purchased a blue FRN endura4 from amazon.ca granted it was marked as ''used, but in very good condition''. So I had inquired with their customer service to know what was the thing with it. They said, it was no return, but the box was damaged, so they placed it under their warehouse deals. Not caring about the box, I gladly bought it, as it was 20$ off. I was assured I could return it if I was not satisfied.

Now, right in hand, it felt different then my other enduras. So under careful inspection, I saw the grind lines on the bade were far rougher then should be and the letter stamping was off as the lettering was much thinner, but everything else was pretty much exactly the same. The frn scales where visually identical, but perhaps a tiny bit thicker. SRY I took no pictures before sending it back.

I think this kind of story is not unheard of. My take is that someone had bought one from amazon and returned a fake endura for a full refund. Amazon been none the wiser are passing the fake back. I at least made it clear why I was return it and hope to see they will not try to pass it off again.

You presume wrong. I don't know what Amazon.ca actually is, but Amazon dot com has a habit of filling in their legitimate stock with fakes from other places when they run low, or filling orders from other vendors who are peddling fakes. They may be a legit Spyderco dealer, but they are not to be trusted.

it's just amazon from Canada.(the dot ca) I hope your wrong on that one, as Chinese counterfeits are actually quite illegal to possess here and that would be a crazy dishonest practice.

I ordered a new endura 4 from SRKnives this time around, they are a trusted Canadian vendor.

I wonder what other trusted knife vendors there are in Canada. I believe Warriors and Wonders is legit. I really wish we had a BladeHQ up here.

Warriors & Wonders is totally above board, but with Amazon, you really take your chances.

Warriors and wonders has never disappointed. Amazon makes me nervous with some things but I live so close to the distribution centre if I ever get something I wasn't expected I know quickly.

Yup, agreed. I've been saying it for years on here. Never order from the big river store or epray. Always, always, always.........yep, ALWAYS order from actual knife stores.

I have been interested in finding a Camillus TL-29, but the only place that has them is....yup, epray. But if I can't touch it first its never getting ordered.

I've never had a bad experience buying direct from Amazon.
But then again, the knife gods do favour me. ;)

I agree. I bought from them about 7 years ago, I had a great experience. The owner (can't remember his name) was very accommodating shipping to me in Arizona. I've bought from them a few times aside from the regular wait times for delivery based on customs intervention, nothing but good service every time.

Warriors and Wonders is friggin awsome! I've been dealing with them for a few years now and can't say enough about them! Every order I've placed has been flawless and arrived very quickly. I would highly recommend them to any fellow Canadians (or our American friends) who are looking for a legit dealer. Also all prices are in Canadian dollars. Happy knife hunting!

I just bought a fishing rod from big river. They had a warehouse deal for $10 less. I bought the new one. I'll let everyone know if the deal goes sour.

Yeah, let us know if the fishing rod turns out to be a fake. [emoji6][emoji1]

Just to be clear, I'd buy some things off the big river, just not knives or electronics/smartphones. I'd buy books no question. [emoji3]
