got a fake endura4 blue FRN from amazon.ca

Buying new stuff that is shipped from & sold by is usually safe. They will take literally anything as a return, which gets to the core of the problem in this case! Overstock is suspect too, I was looking at a Domino on there recently and didn't buy because one review said the guy bought it and it came in a Domino box but there was a Tenacious inside...

As far as prices, they're usually cheaper than most online dealers but not by that much. Definitely WAY less than most brick and mortar stores, not like many people buy from them anyway...sorry not interested in paying $119.99 for a VG10 Delica.
 
Posting pics of that Endura would be helpful. I've never seen a fake Endura/Delica/Stretch and I'm not sure they exist.
 
To my fellow Canucks, I know that Warriors and Wonders are great and so is SRKnives, but how about House of Knives? I know that their selection and prices are not so good but sometimes their items on sale are tempting...

they go for about 18to22$ on a certain big asian site with a name taken from the one thousand and one nights tales.
 
People buy real knives, return a different model or a fake, and the people processing the returns don't catch it. I ordered a Gayle Bradley years ago and got a Tenacious in the box. I returned it and ordered another and got a real one the 2nd try.
 
Amazon does not purposely sell counterfeits, lmao. I guarantee that it was returned to them, despite what they may say. Happens to me all the time in the states, I'd say 1 out of 10 knives I order from the big retailers are fakes that were returned and resold.

On top of this subforum, there's thread about fakes and lots of pics and discussion about fake E4. Check out Les Garten's Youtube. The counterfeit gets so much better that it's difficult to tell them apart.
Mostly copied are E4 ZDP FFG in various colors and E4 SG Emersons.
One sample: search Amazon for Endura ZDP. You'll see some colorful handled 'ZDP'.

Yea and the other one (can't say the name but it is partly the opening in a fence) have tons of fakes of almost every Spyderco model. They also have a lot of fakes of model, especially coloration, that don't exist...things like a pink Endura Emerson. Oddly, there seems to be a lot of fakes of really obscure models such as the Karahawk and the Sub Hilt. Not sure why, but I bet you would be hard pressed to find more than 5 members on here who own either of these.
