Very cool thing happened today.

A good friend came over and we did the usual show and tell with knives...

He traded me an old Cold Steel Red River Skinner w/sheath for some work on a knife for him.

And he has a TC/Buck Custom Nessmuk that he will work into a deal for me...

I am stoked, of all the production Nessmuk out there, that is the one I want.

I did not take a picture, but maybe someone has one...

Thanks you for your envy gentlemen, it is well earned...

I am very lucky, very lucky...

I will have to some images up, once I work the deal out....

I too have long yearned for one of them, cursing that Buck, not 10 miles from my house, was not making them any more.... How I cursed their lack of business sense...

But, now I have a chance at one, and I think I will sew this one up....

Hey Marion, if you'd like to PM me this guy's number, I'll be happy to call him and make sure the knife is legit. :p :D

I'm pretty envious as well. That's a gorgeous knife.

It was quite a moment, I was distracted when he pulled it out of the bag of knives, but I caught a glimpse of it, and immediately knew what it was...

So, I asked him to wait a moment, so I could enjoy the moment....

I finished what I was doing, took a deep breath...

And it was everything I hoped it would be. Beautiful.

And better looking stag (to me) than the images I have seen. This was not bark, but more valleys and ridges....

And it had a different sheath than the one in the above images... Nice.

Lucky, lucky, lucky....

I've got one. Unusal for buck to do a flat grind. I think they were done as a limited edition for Thompson Center Arms.

That's what my research dug up. Some time ago, I contacted TC too late to get one.

What's this, a knife that Guyon doesn't have (or more like 10 of)?!
Inconceiveable!

Kidding aside, those are really nice. I remember when there were still a very few to be had and I didn't pull the trigger. It's now on my short sorry list of "should haves". :( Nice score MDP.

Yeah, I think I heard about it, just after they went away...

And it has always been one of those knives...

Honestly, if I saw one in the shop for what he paid, I would not buy it. But, as part of barter, for one of my knives, I would trade for it.
