Got a new job! SEBENZA ON THE WAY!

Congrats, guys, on the new jobs! Great to hear.

As for a knife, the best 'go everywhere' knife would be a North Woods, imo. Always in your pocket and non-threatening to co-workers. The money you save over buying a Sebenza, could be spent on a fine steak dinner for you and yours.

I agree and probably a few steak dinners with all the trimmings.
If you're using a Sebenza for heavy duty, you probably should be using a fixed anyway.

I got a large 21 a little over a month ago, and it hasn't left my pocket for more than a day or so. I nit pick my knives and was tired of every one having something wrong regarding the f and f. The sebenza was, well it's perfect. It's easy to take a part and clean. I always thought it was a little hokey that the description on all the knife sights said "this is the knife that all production knives are compared to", but I completely get it now. The only down side is that every knife I get from here on out is held up to CRK's near perfect standards.

That sounds great! I'm super picky with my knives. Every little stupid detail bothers me.

best of luck to the guys with newly found jobs. THe best gift you can give yourself is a saving account that you will NOT pinch from. Next to that a nice knife and a nice watch will do you right every time.

Ha! I knew it! RD has a watch addiction. ;)

From what you describe yourself the Sebenza is the way to go.
Strider offeres some different steels, if that's important for you.
If you buy from an authorised dealer you can ask him to double check the lock.
Congrats to your new job.

PS: IMHO getting the rigth knife can safe you a lot of money.

So you got a new job and are looking to get a new knife...
Perhaps if I get a new knife, I'll get a new job? :)

Congratulations on the CRK, one should enjoy the fruits of their labor. So, what did you get?

I have Striders, and I have Sebenzas. The Sebenzas get more pocket time and I just like them better. Striders are the knife where I just wanted it 'cause it looks unique and extra badass. Every once in a while I'll decide to throw one in my pocket when I'm getting dressed, just for a change of pace. Lately I tend to usually have a Sebenza or a ZT0562 on me.

Congratulations! Be sure to carry it often and use it hard. For every rough job (cutting open cans, shingles, random plastic bits, etc.) I grab my Sebenza over anything else.

Good choice on the Sebenza! I don't baby my Sebenza knives and I put them to good use. I bought the belt sheath and carry my knives that way. I already carry a few items in my pockets. Good luck on your job also.

I plan on using it for everything. If its as good as everyone says, I probably won't carry anything else.

You'll eventually carry a different knife, but realize how much you miss your sebenza. You'll go home, slip it in your pocket and feel like you've been reunited with an old pal. Happens to me all the time...

And yes, use it hard!
