Got a new knife... whatcha think?

Does G-10 ever wear out, the texture and stuff or lose its color? Also, does the BP coating on the blade wear off if you cut through those stupid plastic packages that they store toys in?

No, No, and Yes...G-10 will not wear down easily...I have never heard of a case where G-10 wore down or lost its color, it will get dirty, but you cna clean it easily...Now, ANY and ALL blade coatign swill eventually wear out though, and yes it will happen faster when cutign through plactic like those toy packages...But, some coatings hold out better than others, I just don't know whcih is which...I usually dont liek knives with coated blades...but I made an exception with my latest D2 Griptilian because the coating helps to protect the D2...But I hate the way coating looks all worn on a blade...

I agree with the coatings. I also dont like chromed out blades, i think it makes the knife look cheap. yeah, ive been sharpening knives for a while now, id say 5 years. I just prefer being able to use a knife and not always sharpening it. Ive been collecting knives for 8 years now and this is the first knife ive gotten with G-10 scales. I own a minimal of plastic handled knives, i more so prefer wood, animal horn/bone or metal. But im glad the G-10 wont wear down. How do you clean it without ruining it? I also didnt get the delica because it didnt fit well in my hand. Just felt like a 10$ knife.

G-10 is tough stuff, when it gets dirty all you need to do is wipe it down with a damp cloth...If it gets dirty enough soap and water works fine...It really is very low maintenance...

Ahh sounds mint. This knife sounds indestructable. Something i always have a problem with is dust and lint in the knife... and the blade chipping or getting knicks in it.

Anybody find that benchmade doesnt put a tip on their knives as well as say, a buck 110? Or am i just used to the needle point on a 110... I'm always paranoid that somebody used or returned the knife before me. Im anal like that. Does benchmade tape all of their plastic wrap on the knives down(like the flap)? I know my benchmite was taped.

The Vex is a nifty knife for the money, but you could have bought one for under $40 NIB, but that aside, I have one and it performs well as a beater and looks and feels like a more expensive knife IMO.

Here are some better pics. Man knives are pain in the a** to take pictures of without the right light setup lol. Good thing it wasn't chrome!

Love the knife, cuts well and the tip isn't as sharp as i thought it would be but i'm guessing that's from the rolled spine of the blade. I mean it sharp and does cut paper on a flat surface its just not ouch sharp. I also dislike how still the blade action is but other than that it's going to be my new EDC. Im retiring my old CRKT m16-03 (aluminum not zytel scales).
