The wave just arrived in the mail the other day from a fellow forum member. This should give my Native a well deserved rest.

heh I have bothof those myself! The wave is a fun feature and a great knife. I do find that the Native slices better since its thinner.
 
Haven't had a slicing competition yet. How long have you had both? Is it true that the VG-10 holds a sharper edge longer then the S30V? Which do you prefer of the two?

Well I havent put my d4 wave through some hard cutting yet. I have used it to shave up a twig which it held its own. I would do more test for you, but I had to send in my d4 wave back to spyderco today. The lock did not hold up to a lite spine test on a phone book.

I feel naked without my d4 wave =*(

I agree, good choice. It was my first spydie as well in addition to a couple of my buddies! They still EDC theirs but I have moved on to the mini persian.
 
some people say spydercos are ugly, but i find them to be quite beautiful. just look at that pic.......awesome.:thumbup:
