Could it be a pre production model??? Prototype???

I know the main pic of the DPx H•E•S•T on the RAT website does not show the skull on the handle. Could the non skull handle be the "regular" production model and the ones with the skull be the limited edition models with the serial numbers???

My HEST is a regular production model, and it has the skull on the scales.

That "skull" you are talking about is Mr. DP my mascot ) I designed him as way for people who don't speak the language to identify me and to hand out at check points, front lines etc. You can see Mr DP on stickers on bars from Kabul (the Gandamak) to Djibouti (History Bar) and on AK 47s from Chechnya to Sudan.

I got my H.E.S.T today It's more than I expected! If any of you reading this thread are on the fence about getting one,well get off and and get one! the pictures don't do it justice.this knife makes damm good sense,looking foward to the next RYP & RAT project.I'll post some pics very soon,thinking about how I want to edc this thing.
