After some extended wear and a few Insanity workouts wearing my battle belt I've settled on this configuration for my knife sheath on my 1st line gear. The picture is not indicative to how it actually wears when wrapped around my hips/waist. The knife lays perfectly along the back side of my left hip upper thigh area, not affecting movement or even sitting WOOT! Obligatory pic:
