My favorite paring knife has a blade shape and angle very, very similar to the fourth knife in the lineup.

Something about the sheepsfoot is very pleasing to my eye too.

I say this every time: make mockups in wood first. You will learn more about the design that way than any other method.

A little piece of design I find helps is to sketch in the plunge and handle/ricasso. Helps break the eye and visualise the design better.

Current designs handle shape looks comfy. I would probably square up the finger guard/Spanish notch area myself to break the profile a bit and make it look a little more intentional.

You and me both, growing up my family started racing sailboats when I was 8 years old (currently 53). Dad always had a sailing knife (sheepsfoot and marlin spike folder). Reminds me of him, he has been gone a few years now.
