Wow this thing cuts.
Finally took my 940-1 ( was at about 26° factory per side) down to 18° per side.
It took about 2 minutes to shave off nearly 8 degrees per side.

Took it up to 6k for a pretty polish.

Jeez...cut through S90v like it was 01.

Yup, been using one for a few months now on the old EP...really impressed. I'd been using an EZLap x course for heavy profiling, the Atoma cuts much faster and seems to hold up a bit better...I follow w/Shapton Glass stones, generally up to 8k. Highly recommended.

I need to get a 320, jump to 500 is a bit much. I've done 5 knives and a hawk...still cuts as new.

Hey Brian! I have the Atoma 140 also, and the 400, 600, 1200. I like them quite a bit. The 1200 is strange, it leaves a seriously aggressive edge. Was planning on using them when I establish the edge on your knife.

Can't go wrong with the Atoma plates. You might want to consider a 150 and or 220 stone between the Atoma 140 and whatever 320-400 stone. Streamlines the process a bit better. Especially with those harder more abrasion resistant steels.
