Went to my favorite local store today, look what followed me home.

What's in the box?

That's right! A brand new Combat fighter!

Great fit and finish on this one.

Solid, early lockup.

Perfect centering.

Of course it's pretty stiff right out of the box, but now I get to have fun breaking it in. :D

I enjoy the break in period with the Emersons. Congrats on the new pickup!

Yea me too, but right now I'm dealing with lock stick until it decides where it wants to settle, and smoothes out.

I see a sore thumb in my immediate future. LOL

I gotta say, this blade has a seriously sharp edge out of box. This and my ETAK have the sharpest factory edges I have ever seen.

Nice indeed, congrats. Odd about sn 135 though, I thought I read somewhere when the signature series started they would be runs of 120 pieces or less.

I have no idea how many they made, but I do know that my local dealer is legit, and orders straight from EKI, so they had to have made at least 135 of them.

Are they limited runs? Anyone know how many sig models are produced?

I wasn't questioning the legitimacy at all sorry if my intention came off as such. I went and found the where I originally "thought" I read it and it just says "very limited quantities"

It's all good, anyone know how many were made?

I am sure somebody does but I doubt they will say. I sent an email asking about quantities of the Irish Commander and the reply stated that production numbers were not available but was a limited run.

Are the sig models limited runs? I don't see anything on the EKI website about limited quantities.

Cool. Thanks for the link. Now my only problem is: because they are such a limited item, should I carry it?

Of course! I find that I don't enjoy having them if I don't carry them. Might not want to use that one for opening bags of sakcrete though!:D

Update: after two days, it is breaking in nicely. The pivot has smoothed out nicely, and the action is good. The lock is still a bit sticky, but getting better.

I really like the way this one feels in my hand. I don't yet know if it will kick my CQC-8 out of my pocket, but we'll see.
