Got another one, I couldn't help myself

Update: The initial break in period is officially over. The knife is now smooth and enjoyable to operate, and the lock bar has self adjusted and settled in at 50% lockup. I am sure the pivot will get even smoother over time, but now I can carry this thing with no reservations.

Also, the more I handle it, the more I like the feel of the grip. Seems like it was made for my hand. I like it when that happens.

The ECS Fighter surely features one of the most ergonomically designed handle of all the folders I've held. Although the blade is almost identical to the ZT630 (Fighter's is slightly longer, has a slightly less pointed tip and lower grind), the ergo on the handle sure is a world apart between the two. The moment I saw its picture, knew I've to get it at some point. Btw, anyone knows if the liners on Fighter are in titanium or steel?

Just curious as to why titanium for the liner lock side? It would be safe to presume that using steel for the lock side would be more resistant to wear/abrasion against the steel blade tang (while also reducing the lock stick issue), while using the titanium on the non-locking side for weight reduction

Emersons started off as a dual titanium linerlock. As time passed, stainless steel was used on the nonlocking liner to stiffen/increase handle rigidity. The '99 CN Commander I had was built with dual titanium liners an could feel the handle squish and lockbar click with a good squeeze. Over the past few years, the liners have gotten even thicker on both sides of the production knives. The ECA and customs knives can be different in other ways.
