got bit by my SY Scrapper6! Of course the first thing i did was run upstairs, covering the stairs in red spray and grab the camera.

Then i put pressure on the wound, soaking about 10 6x6 guaze pads.

Cant really tell from the pic, but the cut goes straight to bone, pulled out a tiny chip when irragting the wound. I can litteraly almost pull off the tip of the finger, there is only about 8mm of flesh holding i t on.





startrts at the top arrow, goes to middle of nailll Approx depth of cut is 9/16" of an inch.

You going to get that scratch looked at? Seems like it might warrant sewing up.

Of course, inquiring minds want to know what you were doing with the scrapper6 at the time of the altercation.

i was sectioning fatwood of course! got a tough piece and leaned into it with all my 190 lbs. Suddenly the piece of fatwood sliced right apart and gthr Scrpper 6 ended up on my finger

just tore the rest of the wound apart, got about 3 mm left holding the tip on. Fresh guaeze and large sterisrtrips to hold it on. Headin off for some stittche
 
That needs stitches broheim, don't play the tough guy game or you can lose all the feelings in the tip of that finger, godspeed.
 
I am happy to report my bite from a week ago is healing nicely :) I am super paranoid about cleaning it and do so 3-4 times a day. I am out of that bleeding phase. Mine was right on the knuckle and it was a true avulsion. I removed a chunk of knuckle.

Yours looks like stitches could help... Id consider it.

+1 on that. I can't feel anything on the top half of my left pinky from when I used to work at a large commercial bakery and got my hand caught in the bread slicer :eek:
Of course I was lucky to still have a finger and had to have surgery to put it back together, but yeah, nerve damage sucks...
 
lol don't you love it. everytime you think you man i got this knife thing down. that mean sob turns around and bites you. it happened to me like that and i ended up with almost 30 stitches and newly sewn together tendon on my thumb.

well quick look at it by the ER Doc, some dermabond and fresh bandages, and i'm good for a day. HOWEVER, i need to go back once the specialist is in for . This quick fix will tide me over for trucking courses in the AM, but i need to go back for stictches and possibly some micro surgery.
 
Dude I hope you got some narcotics. That looks painful. If you did, then no playing with fatwood while under the influence. :D
 
And look at the dedication B5 has to the forums... he took time to photograph it, add in notes and post them before even going to the emergency room. Now that's dedication!

Dang dude, I hope in the end it isn't as bad as it sounds. Here's to wishin fast healing!
 
Looks like you let some blood out and some wisdom in....lesson learned, right? (by all of us...)
