I recently read that L.T. and Dan are parting ways to pursue their own interests. I wish them both the best of luck in their new endeavores, but now wish I had bought another BHK or two, I had been trying to decide on a Brumby or a Brumby Lite, but saw the GNS in their July Special and couldn't resist it. Now I may regret giving my Frontier Valley to my sister-in-law :). Seems like as good a time as any to see who has what, so which BHK knives do you guys have and which are your favorites? Post pics if you can.

I have a Woodsman Pro with a bright blue G10 handle that I like, I also like that it is pretty easy to spot in an autumn/winter landscape.

Then I am really glad I got the GNS when I did.

After I read the news yesterday I ordered two custom BHK Forest Trail knives one flat grind and one scandi. I think there are some left at The-knife-connection.

Yep, wish I had the funds to do that. I have liked the Forest Trail ever since I saw them do a flat ground one. When the first came out all I saw was the scandi version, and I'm just not a big scandi fan.

Thanks! It's a great little knife. I've cleaned a couple dozen birds with it this fall, and it's a freakin' scalpel.

Specs:

D2 steel
LOA - 6-3/4"
Blade Thickness: 1/8"
Blade Length: 2 3/4" Cutting Edge
Full tang
Fiddleback maple handles w/black liners

Here it is with the sweet sheath that it came with:

I wish I had the funds for a Woodsman Pro. What a simple, elegant design.

Nice stuff guys!

I was also pretty disappointed when I read they were dissolving. I still have a few of their knives but not as many as I used to and definitely not as many as I'd like to have. From what I've read they're still fulfilling all past orders. I just hope that some dealers had past orders and the remaining dealer supply won't dry up too quickly! Unfortunately my chances of ordering a custom Brumby with a 6" blade and brass guard have faded into oblivion.

I like the cut of that BHK Clipper. Of course anyone who knows me would expect that.

It pleases me no end to see modern makers paying homage to the pattern and continuing to produce their own riffs on it. It is a breath of fresh air from the nearly ten year spate of cheap copies and knockoffs from Pakistan and China. Custom makers, big cutleries and small shops, it's all good. Henry would be proud.

I have a Brumby and a Muk. Bought both of them in person at shows.
