If anyone has one of these that they are going to throw in the trash, let me know. Dammit.

LT and Dan are both still making knives man, it is likely attainable if you want one that bad :)

Yeah, I read on their former site that they aren't up an cranking yet on their cutlery. And I really can't afford to buy another knife just now anyway. I just wish I had seen these back a few months ago before people decided to quit swimming for the year. :)

I will be keeping my eye out for one on the secondary though.

Looking for a Small Tiger Knapp myself.. Wish I had pulled the trigger in the early fall!! Darn!! John

I'm curious how many BHK Clippers were actually made. It was a pattern that they only started to offer earlier this year, mine was a custom order, and I've only seen pics on the Blind Horse forum of maybe two others in existence.

I'm hoping that either LT or Dan will continue to have this pattern available - maybe in a lower-priced, 'stock' version available in simple micarta or something. It seems like it would be popular.

But then again, I've heard from a few dealers who specialize in Bark River, Blind Horse, etc. that trailing point patterns don't tend to sell well, which always surprises me...

This makes me giggle thinking of Lt. Dan in "Forrest Gump" :)

Trailing point knives don't/won't sell well because they're too practical and not tacticool. Never mind that they excel at processing game animals.... The mall-ninja crowd simply will not buy a knife if it doesn't look like it's jump-ready in a ballistic nylon scabbard/came from an "Operator's" personal web harness and looks like it can be hammered into/batonned through/saw-through just about anything - and comes only in black (matte black at that).

I must agree somewhat with this. Today's knife buyers differ from those in 1974 in many ways. And for the majority which might be attracted to this skinner pattern, for whatever reason, they do not have the knowledge or experience to tell the difference between quality and the ones selling like hotcakes for $17.99 from China. It has indeed become a specialty pattern mostly attractive to some old timers among the dwindling hunters market. Of course none of the preceeding makes it any less efficient and useful in skilled hands. Maybe I will contact Lt.Dan directly and see if one or both are planning on continuing the pattern on even a limited basis. Someone please be so kind to PM me the MSRP from the knife company formerly known as BHK? I do have a kidney I am not using if it comes to that.
