I'm going into the sharpening room tomorrow and I'm telling those guys to flip the belts over and start using the abrasive side!!!! ;)

Please remember that comparing a folding knife with a very thin, hollow ground blade and edge, that is only designed for slicing, to a much more robust knife designed for heavy field use can be an unfair comparison. HOWEVER, there is NO excuse for you guys to be unhappy with your edges. . . Every knife that leaves this shop should be shaving sharp. . . Period!

If you are unhappy with the edge you receive, please give us the opportunity to make it right. And trust me. . . WE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT!

We have NEVER left a customer unsatisfied. . . EVER!

Thanks boys!:D

I know that I can always send the knife back, and thanks for that opportunity :) However that will cost $$ and getting the knife back in to Denmark will require weapon import paper work and since that knife looks new I would have to pay Vat witch is 25%. I brought the knife back from NY state last weak and avoided that Vat ;)

I will make a flat edge myself on my Arkansas stones and get that wicked edge I have on my HOFSH LE's.

Once again thanks for offering to re-sharpen my knife.

Keep smoking that meerschaum pipe. Does your pipe have a long shaft like my pipe? I like long shafts for cooling the smoke.

Tequila made from 100% agarve is the best - break the law and have a drink buddy.

PS why did you make the edge hollow grind on the Satin Jack and not convex all the way?

Cheers,

André

The edge on the Satin Jacks is convex but is done at a slightly different angle.

Yes, my pipe has the long stem. . . .and it definitely cools the smoke!

After looking at my knife closer I see that the edge is convex, sorry. But why the different angle?

I'll probably catch some flak for saying this, but I really don't see why folks are complaining about about lack of sharpness. If you're a serious knife user you really ought to know how to sharpen them, since they're going to get dull after use no matter what. I have a feeling that most of the people complaining are collectors who want to be able to advertise "never been sharpened" along with "mint condition, NIB, never used, only taken out of the box twice, etc." down the road. Anyway, to each his own.

I do use all my knives but think that a knife should come sharp from the maker.

André

Aaaaah, the good things in life -- That's astonishingly great Tequila, by the way -- I have only had it once due to the cost, but wow, just wow. Nothing like a good drink, a good smoke, and a good blade... What more do you need, besides maybe a bonny lass on your knee...

Yup spec ops. It's the short one, but be careful if you use it as the screw on the bottom will hit the blade, so I took it out and used a ziptie.

Thanks for the tip on the sheath. Sure looks great. I am getting one.

Yes the Tequila is awesome but expensive, worth every penny if you ask me. Life is to short for cheap knives and drinks.

Steven: Where in Sweet Home do you live? There doesn't seem to be a lot of Bussephiles in this state. Do you ever make the gun shows at the B'ham Civic Center? Galaxytech and I meet there sometime for Busse show and tell.

Oh, yeah, the mnandatory question: Tigers or Tide?
