Wow, Andre'! Beautiful knives and beautiful pics. :) Does one micarta have a lil more oil on it or is that just the variation you can see in snakeskin?

Very nice. Great score.

Can we get some shots of the knives in hand?

Thanks.

These knives are clean No oil was rubbed on the handle by me.
Should I oil the handle??? Never done that on any micarta scales:confused:
I put oil on Iviry handle knives but micarta:confused:

Anyways the handles are not the same:D IMO

Cheers,

André

SAY WHAT:D You want me to do Escrima with the knives and have my wife take pictures:D :D

Cheers,

André

Hey André. No need to oil them. If you do, it will darken the micarta.

I've seen where some folks have oiled the black canvas micarta (which has a little grey and white in it) to make them completely black.

With the snakeskin, I think you'd much rather have all the nice variations in color.

Gorgeous knives.

Congrats those are some great looking pieces and thanks for sharing the pics.

You can oil the handles if you would like, it won't hurt them but it isn't necessary either. However, oil brings out the colors and darkens them slightly (depending on the amount of oil used) If you don't like the "oiled" look washing them with a mild soap will bring them back to a lighter color. Any oil will work but I would use something "light" (not motor oil ;) ) and use it sparingly. Rub it in well and let us know what you think.

:D:D

Terry trust me they will draw blood when I hunt wold boar again in Argentina. I will however only use one as the other hand is used to feel the boar.
My back up knife is a smaller Airkat that has a sheath that allows you to pull the knife fast if needed.

André

:D:D

Rubbing a knife with oil:D sounds exotic.
I will give the #411 sone patina with blood and see how that truns out:D

Thanks for the advice on the oil and removal tricks. How about dishwasher? That is what I do with my vintage Randalls :D

Are those two versions of tiger stripe, or did you somehow score a snakeskin LE?

I think one is snake and one is tiger both are magnums, I think that was standard on the LE.
