Got it! ZT550

It's a very impressive looking knife, for sure. From a lot of pics, the lock side looks thicker than the non-locking side(both liner and scale combined). Is that the case, or just a bit of an illusion?

I haven't got the 550 yet but on my 551 the scale side is slightly thinner.

Mine arrived today. I'm impressed with how solid the knife is and the fit and finish. It is like Apple and Hummer got together to make a knife. Great industrial design.

Pictured next to my ZT300 and mini Sebrenza. I'll rotate it with the ZT300.

Still enjoying this knife a lot. The build is amazing - blade centered with no play. I've only used it for some light food prep and scraping my registration tag to replace with the new one. Ergonomics are great.

I wore it all weekend as my New Years knife! I am still amazed at how smooth it has been right out of the box! Can't wait to get the 560 I preordered.

We learned a lot from the 0551's, and the 0550 certainly has refinements to it.

Can you elaborate on the refinements? I bought two 0551's because I like them so much, so now I guess I may need one of these.

Did the later run of 0551's incorporate any of these refinements?

My 0551's (#527 & 576) have slightly magnetic liners on the G10 side - assumed to be SS. Ti has no magnetic attraction (ElMax does!). I'm interested in what they could have improved on the 0551 - mine are excellent examples just as they are.

Well SN #0056 arrived safe and sound in the Emerald (aka 'Rainy as hell') Isle today after what seemed like a lifetime in the USPS sorting facility in NYC....
All I can say is Wow! How do ZT make such a tank of a folder so light and nimble in the hand? Fit and finish are exceptional with solid lock up, zero blade play and perfect centering. If you were in any doubt about the 0550 don't delay, I would pull the trigger on one of these in a heartbeat having handled one.
This is my first ZT and it certainly won't be my last (can't wait for my 0560 now)

Outstanding!
