Got Lucky, found a Belgium Browning...

OK, how would I go about getting one with plain sights, wooden grips, and a 13-round magazine?

It would have to be brand new, and "Made in Belgium". The word "Portugal" really doesn't appeal to me on this legendary piece.

Thanks.

Go to your local gun store and tell them exactly what you want and don't want. If their suppliers have them available or have access to Belgian Hi-Powers, they will be able to get you one. If not, they would probably be able to point you in the right direction. My advice is to get Camp's book first, or go to the web-site, so you know a little bit more about what you're looking for. You'll be glad you did.

I believe these are all Belgian. I also agree that I think Browning lost something when they moved partial production to Portugal.

Danbo,
If you have enough flannel shirts to come to the Indy 1500 Gun and Knife Show and don't call me to either take you out to dinner or have you over for something good off the grill, and a few "good, good, good libations" or is the vibrations? I'll be looking to get on a stool and kick you in the kneecap......

Depends upon how you pluck your feathers.

In North America, these birds are often referred to as "Canadian Geese" since "Canadian" is normally an adjective while "Canada" is a noun.

Nice pistol btw.

That's how it is. If enough folks use the "incorrent" words for a long enough time, the "incorrent" becomes "correct." As for "normally, we're talking English here. mouse/mice/ moose/moose goose/geese

No one has mentioned the Canada (:D ) Browning. How does that rate vs. those made in Belgium?

wow is this english class or a knife forum lol, i think everyone gets the drift...........

I apologize, I think (hope) Thomas Linton and I were just having some fun. It is a knife forum where people talk about knives. Now back to talking about pistols.

In NY we have NY Canada geese while in Canada they have Canadian Canada geese !! Either way I never shot one with a BHP ! If I bought another it would be in .40 caliber.
