After seeing Michael's jig, with permission, I had one made by a local machinist. Plan on using it on my current knife project :D :D

Now, all I gotta do is finish a knife.... :p ;)

Awww Phil!

At least you could have let 'em stew for a day or two... I was hoping to see just how curious a Munky could get :D :p

nice, but why did you put the holes in if there is no use for them?
Simply put, that's the way I saw the original, and perhaps they will prove themselves useful with small pieces of work. Who knows. When I discussed the cost of the two slots with the machinist, there was no difference in price. So, why not?

Man, I never got my scales for guessing the right question too! Oh well... Nice work on the jig!

Sorry about that, Im running just a bit behind.

I was going to start a new thread entitled " Guess when Im going to send the scales to TekSec?"

The winner gets a used 60 grit belt and some scrap micarta.

LOL....no problem. I'd actually forgotten until this thread came up :D

Knowing what local machine shops charge... and the steps required to machine that jig.... I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry while I tell you that a piece of channel iron with the bottoms of the flanges and the inside of the webbing milled flat will give you the same end result. :)
