Got my 0560 this morning, and I'm still smiling this afternoon

I was finally able to get my hands on a 0560(New Graham rocks!) and have to say that I'm still as giddy as a kid at Christmas. After checking the knife over for any issues, I have not found any....simply put, my new ZT is perfect. Excellent grippy G10, beautiful beadblasted Ti, solid locking framelock, RAZOR sharp Elmax and that buttery SMOOTH pivot just leaves me speechless.

Without a doubt, the 0560 has become my favorite knife.....period. :D

Mines better.

Congrats on the new blade, brother. I got mine a few days ago and I'm still smiling. :D:D:D

It is an awesome blade, of that we can be sure.

After seeing yours in that mudbucket, I'm not going to disagree, Lol. I'm going to have to pick one of those 0561s as well, when funds allow since my wallet took a beating this week after getting the 0560, a Military and the Orange CTS-XHP Para 2.

Thanks again for the vid, Moose. :D

Oh, no worries and you are most welcome.

Yeah, it sounds like your wallet took an ass whoopin', but I bet your carry pocket is in heaven. :D

congrats! Got mine few weeks ago and this blade is well worth every penny! Congrats again!

Well, my pocket is in heaven but my belly will have to deal with rice and beans, beans and rice till next week. Was it worth it? Oh hell yeah.....:D

I love having that extra cash since I don't have any kids living at home anymore. ;) Getting rid of the ex wife helps a little too....Lol

I'm glad you like it! I knew you would haha.

What are your thoughts on it vs the 0300 or the Military?

Man, I'd have to say that this ZT is the perfect fusion of the 0300 and the Military....hadn't even thought of that.

I still love both of those blades, but they will be taking a back seat to the 0560, without a doubt. :D ;)

So maybe the 0300 and the Military had sex :p

Hmm.....it could be.....

Seriously, I hadn't thought of that but from that pic, the 0560 does seem to have key features from both the Millie and 0300.

Question is who did what to who?? :D

Rick Hinderer screwed us all is what happened. Our wallets will never be the same. :D

I agree but it's all good and well worth it. The XMs are very nice knives, but for the price of just one Hinderer, I'd rather have a few 0560/0561s around the house.

But when I grow up, I do plan on getting one of those XMs for my little collection. ;)

Don't you mean if you grow up? :p

call me crazy but i have no idea what "key features" of the military the 0560 has?

Not crazy, Pvt., that's a fair question. IMHO, the thin handle of the Military could be compared to the slim handle on the 0560, as well as, the milling in the steel liner and Ti slab removing unnecessary excess weight just as in the nested liners that are set into the G10 in the Military.....all to reduce the weight of the knives. The 0560 has, what I consider to be, a good middle ground between the pointy tip of the Military and the broader, tougher tip on the 300. I also love the feel of the great ergonomic grip on the 0560, which again feels to be that middle ground between the Military and the 0300.

In any case, this is strictly my personal opinion....and fellow forumites can agree or disagree with me, not a problem at all, Lol. :D

That's a use for the 0560 I hadn't heard anyone mention yet! Oh, that's not what you meant.. my bad

Lol.....didn't exactly mean it that way. My ex would give me a hard time every time that I bought a new knife, and this was because she said she like knives  , so I am enjoying the freedom of not having to 'run' it by her anymore when a new knife comes into my sights. :D

My second wife buys me knives... like this odd looking Kershaw 4001SW thing... whatever Vanax75 metal is (I think Wife #1 took those as an Rx...). I had just recently bought myself - with her insistence - a 0561 locally. It's newness still hasn't worn off... how can I be fair to the Tilt? The 0561 is awesome... as is my 0551. I still think the 0551 is better - for me - as an EDC - but it has a lot of history already. Still, the 0561 is fine - in my case, despite the flipper!

That Vanax75 must have been the same stuff that my first wife was taking as well....lol. The only good things that I ever got from her were my daughter and a laser engraved webbed SS Endura for father's day that she and my kids(mine and hers) got for me many years ago.

One thing that I've found is that the jimping is a little sharp, as I had heard mentioned in youtube videos, but I really love the secure grip.....definitely don't have to worry about it slipping if my hands are wet, muddy, etc.. Also, the lockbar would also occasionally get stuck due to there being a very, very slight misalignment between it and the blade tang but after a quick call to KAI CS, I was given a tip on what I could do about it as well as also being given the option of sending it in, of course. I put some graphite on the spot where the blade meets the lockbar and the problem is taken care of, although I'm sure that everything would have worked itself out after the ZT breaks in after some time anyway.

Being the way I am with my knives, I took the 0560 apart last night....cleaned, lubed it up, and put it back together with no problems whatsoever. :D
