I got my ZT 0561 blem from Dave (aka Kershawguy) in the mail yesterday! I finally understand all the hype! It's an amazingly well built knife. I spent an hour looking it over closely to see if I could spot any reason why it could be considered a blem and the only thing I could find was a spot where the G10 didn't match up with the liner. That's pretty much it. I do, however, notice the absolute slightest hint of vertical blade play, but I'm not going to make any fuss about that. After all, it is a blem. Centering is perfect, lock up is good, detent is good and it's sharp as heck!! All in all, I'm very pleased with it and with Dave's outstanding service!

I think Mr. Dave has become the most-worshiped vendor on Bladeforums. I have added my praise many times as well, which is well deserved.
That hint of vertical blade blah isn't actually play at all. It's lock flex, the thin part of the titanium frame lock actually flexes a tiny bit and that is what you are noticing. It is present on all 056x knives. The only blemish on my 0561 from Dave is a spot on one side where the edge has an uneven grind, great value for that tiny cosmetic issue, and of course Dave is the man.
Ahhh...thanks for clearing that up for me. And I also noticed a small spot on the edge where the grind was off a little. Still, no complaints from me, I couldn't be happier. And yes...Dave is the man!
