Knife #56. Didn't realize that they would be serialized.

No pics yet but man, this thing is huge. Will have to play with it some and will come back in the next day or two with a mini-review & pics. So far, I am awed by it but find the auto function very hard to actuate. Perhaps that will get easier with some use and maybe some lube. It is actually easier to use the manual mode right now.

Beautiful presentation box, nicely presented.

Anyone else get theirs yet? Do you have a problem with the auto being hard to actuate?

That one issue aside, I'm lovin' it! :)

That's great. Congrats. When did you pre-order yours ?

I just pre-ordered mine a few days ago. Did you get an email stating that your knife was in and was going to ship to you soon?

No. They just shipped it.

I knew it was coming because I was looking through some previous orders at Knifeworks to get some info on another knife that I was discussing and saw that I had a new UPS number assigned to that order. Strictly coincidence. So I've been expecting it this week. But no notification. Had I not seen the tracking number, it would have just shown up at the door. :)

Got mine this morning too! Number 95! Same as you the auto is tight. Manual is smooth as can be. The auto being tough though is good in my opinion. With no lock like on other Benchmade auto/spring assists it is good that it won't fly open too easily.

I ordered mine in June as well. Cool thing was it came with a b-day card like CRK's do.

Very Happy with mine.

Well it looks like I have a good couple months wait at least for mine.

Not necessarily. Depends on how many they made at a given time vs how many pre-orders that they had. You might get it sooner than you expect. ;)

Yeah, the BD card was kinda cool. This was my first Gold Class Benchmade and I was impressed with the whole package. They did it up right.

Birthday card ? I like that. And I like that the knives are serialized too. This is also (will be) my first Gold Class BM.

The sooner I get mine the better. I'm ordering a 707-1201 in the mean time to tide me over.

My 7505-132 is supposed to ship out tomorrow or Monday so I am hoping to see it late next week. I had pre-ordered in early September.

As far as the auto being hard to fire, that is how my 7505-131 is as well. I got used to it fairly quickly and it is a breeze for me now; when I show it off everyone has a hell of a time with it.

The 131 is absolutely gorgeous. I love that Lightning Strike CF. Unfortunately the $1200 price tag is too steep for me. So I opted for the 132 which I find very good-looking as well. I am thrilled to have pre-ordered it. Can't wait to get mine.

Ordered mine in October.

Was just notified of a "Surprise" shipment of the knives.

Just received an e mail that it was shipped today.

Eagerly awaiting its arrival.

That's awesome. I hope mine ships sooner rather than later.

Pics, as promised. :)

First impression, mini-review:
This is quite a knife. The auto deployment has gotten easier with use partly because it has been broken in a bit and partly because I am getting more familiar with using the auto function.

Easily the sharpest knife that I have ever bought right out of the box. That usually isn't a big deal to me because I just sharpen my knives myself and get them where I want them. Did not have to touch this one. Beautiful, sharp, edge.

It is large, heavy (7.9 oz - 1/2 lb! - per my scale) with an extremely substantial blade. Not sure that the pocket clip will get much use by me. This knife is big enough to almost need a sheath and I'll probably get one for it. Some weight examples for comparison:

7505-132 - 7.9 oz.
Buck 110 - 7.4 oz.
Griptilian - 4.0 oz.

So this is might be considered an overbuilt folder, depending on your definition. I certainly wouldn't be afraid to put it to hard use. It is well built enough to take most anything that you might throw at it. A comparison of size between a full sized Griptilian and the 7505:
