Hello everyone!

I got my Buck 55 today! I love it. It had minor side to side bladeplay. Oh, well. I took some loctite and applied thin layer to inside brassbolster with a needle. After it dried up, blade open, voilá and lock up is rock solid. No wiggle or blade play anywhere. I wonder how it worked. I used same method with my Case sodbuster and loctite method around 9 months ago. Still sobuster goes strong and nobladeplay when its opened.

I'm quite surprised loctite worked here too but I am glad. No need to send back to Buck, no need to baton or use screw bench.
I've opened and closed 55 now dozen times and lock up is ever so solid. I wonder how loctite could work so well? Oh, well I am happy.

55 is absolutely beautiful knife. Its small, has good lock and after stropping lightly, the edge was really sharp. 55 could easily push cut thru 2 pages of news paper with its own weight.

I am impressed. Now I just am waiting rest Buck knives to arrive. Hopefully 110 and Bucklite Max small 484 and 425 mini.

55 goes immediately into my Pocket! I guess I have to put Spyderco UKPK off for while and Carry 55 instead.

Hey jamppa,

Glad you like the knife. I really like the look of the 55 but its too small for me. I have a 503 which is about the same size I guess and never carry it.
Maybe I'll still get one for church/dress pants use.(I wear dress close as little as possible)

55 suits my hand pretty well. I am eager to get 110 and later 112. I probably use 55 more as Dress knife or knife when using near no knife people and I need a locking knife. Spyderco's are great but even slipjoint Spyderco's might be too aggressive for some people. Though I admit, I got 55 because it was almost 1:1 with my very first knife ever which I lost 20 years ago... Probably Böker or Puma small brass folding hunter.
