Received my "How to Build a Scale Release Automatic" DVD today! Thanks Chris!!! :)
This dvd rocks! Very professionally done. Excellent video quality and very nice graphics on the dvd. I think it is a must have for knife makers of all skill levels! Chris really explains the procedures in detail. Real easy to follow and understand, even for me. I really feel that with this DVD to fall back on that I could build one as soon as I get a mill. That is what is great about it being in digital format, I can skip chapters till I get to the one I am looking for. I have always been fascinated with auto knives and this dvd really does a great job explaining how one functions and how to construct one with easy to follow step by step instructions. Definite winner you have here Chris! Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to own it!!! This is my new favorite knife making instructional aid!
BTW, I have a cheesy APEX brand, wally-world purchased DVD and it plays great on it! :)
 
Ugh, I wish he'd had dvd's avalable a couple months ago, lol! I got the vhs version which is great but it must really be nice being able to go to a specific part of the show. I might order the dvd version and pass this tape on.

I received mine also (VHS). Am hoping to take a peek at it this evening. If not - then tomorrow for sure.

L6steel, hit me offline and I'll cut you a deal on the DVD. I would also like for you to explain to me the process you used to mill the lock-bar tooth to fit the lock-notch. I've been doing it with files. I believe we talked about this on the phone one afternoon.
