...at first.

First let me say the fit and finish were spot on, loved the color, action was sweet, shape really fits my hand great, the D2 seems to take a real fine edge...but every edge on the G10 scales was harsh (sharp) and the texturing on the scale sides was so grippy it was like gripping 60 grit sandpaper. I couldn't slide it into my pocket without it grabbing the fabric.

Since the knife seemed to be worth some effort, I spent about an hour of quality time using my Lansky croc sticks to 'ease' the harsh edges and to soften the grippiness of the scale sides.

Now I absolutely love this knife. It is a pleasure to hold in any grip, the balance is superb and carries amazingly well in the pocket (not clipped).:thumbup:

Ironically, due to a snafu in communications between me and an online vendor, I came to the conclusion that I was not going to be receiving a knife from that vendor. So I ordered the last one from New Graham on Wednesday and got it Friday. The original one arrives tomorrow. :o

Now I am actually considering keeping both :) Am I crazy?

Love this knife.

Mike

Good for you..
It took my MAN HANDS about 20 minutes to wear the G-10 in...
You should keep both BTW

LOL :D
My hands are softer than I'd like. I only get to do "manual labor" type things on the weekends. Weekdays I drive a desk and work at a computer.

Hey, you are supposed to be talking sense into me, not currupting me. ;)

Thanks,
Mike

Trust me be glad your not doing manual labor, I do occasional odd jobs to support some of my addictions (paintball and knives can suck a wallet dry) and if you don't agree on a fixed hourly rate or total price beforehand then come payment time you usually get screwed, especially if you work for family members. Before I go into a mini rant I'm going to try and steer this back on the right track and say keep both, and on the second one just carry it for a week and the G10 will loose the abrasive feeling and pick up an amazing one, good luck and great choices :D .

I actually tore a pocket out playing with my CF Superhawk and S90V Millie. :D Excuse to get a new pair of jeans.

Congrats on the Para. It's a sweet knife, especially in D2.

Yep, the G10 does break in real nice. That was one of many reasons I hated to see my old S30V Para say goodbye. That G10 was perfect.
