Update:

Jerry took a look at my Desert Tan Assault Shaker at Blade West, and compared it to another knife of his, of a known thickness. He confirmed that my DTAS is made out of thicker than 1/4 inch thick stock.

I just measured mine at 7mm, whatever that equates to in imperial. I think just over ¼ inch.
