got my euro edge....

I received one in exchange for the Advocate that I sent in for warranty through Spyderco. I am very happy with it. The thing is simply a tank!

I do have difficulty in opening it left handed and I am left handed. However, I have developed a method that works-holding the opening scallop with my middle finger on the other side while my thimb gets a purchase on the tiny hole.

The liner lock on it is amazing. It reminds me of my Bradley on lockup-loud thwack.

It is a very well made and designed piece.

Glad you got a knife you like. :)

It does have a rather thick liner lock, and the folks in Taichung seem to have corrected the few issues from other models.
-The opening hole is just slightly chamfered; it still opens great, but doesn't cut into my skin.
-The liners are slightly chamfered, just enough to round the sharp edges. Once again, this means it doesn't cut my skin.

On other Taichung models I had to break out the high grit silicon carbide paper, but with the EuroEdge I was able to leave it the way it came out of the box.

The only part that should be sharp on a knife is the edge of the blade, and on the EuroEdge, that is how it is. :)

I kind of like this photo, cropped, a different filter, and exposure settings played around with:

Luke 22:36
"But now if you have a purse take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."

Luke 22:38
The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords."
"That is enough," he replied.

Nah, the EuroEdge is just a perfectly normal liner lock. :)
Normal engagement and construction.

Which means the liner lock is straight up just like the one seen on Military then?
Hmmm. Maybe I can finally talk one of my dagger-addicted friend into buying a Euroedge

Yep, pretty much exactly the same. :)

It will also make you stronger at the gym. :)

But it will (for some odd reason) not prevent pulling a back muscle while doing one-arm rows. :D

So I guess its levels of magick do indeed have a limit. ;)

Congrats on the model. Ed's designs are very well thought out in his "Ethnic series" pieces. They are all works of art and will more than likely be appreciated a long time from now. Hi "Kris" is exceptional in his accommodating the design into a folder.

The Kris is one of the all-time greats. :)
I would buy a sprint run of the Kris in a heartbeat.

Wow, I missed this thread. I didn't know it was out already.

Closed, it’s heavy and got a bit of size to it. Blade open it is still a little handle heavy, balance point at thumb and index finger sit. Becomes very light and nimble in hand.
Someone another forum asked for size comparison photo.

Sorry to go off topic, but what's the fixed blade there Reject?
