I purchased my first flipper the other day, a ZT 0932WC. I am VERY impressed with it. However, I really wish it had a slightly longer blade. Can anyone tell me what other flipper knives use a similar or same ball bearing system? Does ZT make any other knives that are similar? Not sure if Hinderer makes any of his flippers with bearings. I am considering a Moon or a Shiro, but they are rather expensive for me at the moment. I really do like WC and tanto blades. And would really like something closer to 4"+. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

When you say similar, do you mean blade shape or just being on bearings?

Looking for a good quality flipper...would prefer a wharncliffe style blade, but might consider a tanto or perhaps something with a drop point. Be it bearings or washers, the action is important to me. I handled a Hinderer before and was not crazy about it. I also handled a Moon and a Shiro and was very impressed. I don't mind spending something around $500 if it's worth it. The ZT I just got is fantastic, just wish it had a larger blade...maybe some more jumping, perhaps some inserts on the scales or texture on the titanium for a better grip. I have a Brend Marauder that runs on 18 bearings and is super slick, but is not a flipper. My Sebenza is nice...smooth as well, but a bit on the smaller side...again, not a flipper. Are Moon and Shiro my only options for a well made larger flipper that uses bearings or washers? Was never really into flippers, not until I scored this ZT. THANKS!

a ZT 0560 has bearings and good action in a size a bit larger than the 0392. If you want a larger blade then I would agree that the 452cf is another great choice.

You need to try some of Brous Blades' stuff.
He makes some of the smoothest production flippers around.
I really think the VR-71, T4, and especially the Division would be almost exactly what you're looking for. All have blades that are 4" long or longer.

Looked at both the 0560 and the 452cf.....eh. The 452cf looks OK, but I'm not really thrown back with either of them to be honest. Maybe I should just wait and save up for a Moon or a Shirogorov...was hoping to find something a little cheaper because I am looking for a user...I no longer buy safe queens. I saw this other Russian knife for sale on a FB page, looked really nice and the blade was over 4" and ran on bearings. Moon makes a MK10 with a wharncliffe blade, but asking price was $900...had some extra bells and whistles I didn't care for. Not looking for jewelry, looking for a knife. Guess I will wait, trying to sell my Brend M2 Auto....after I move that, guess I will look more aggressively for a Shirogorov. Moon is just a bit too expensive, and I believe Shiro makes a better blade all around. I don't think I've seen a Shiro with a wharncliffe blade, but have heard they make some of the best flippers in the game...

I saw some reviews of Brous...they didn't flip as well as some of the others. I have a Brous karambit that runs on bearings, but after seeing a bunch of YouTube video...I decided against him.

Would like a Shiro 111....it's funny, Moon is actually selling a Shiro 111 on his FB page. Maybe get a Shiro from Moon? lol Nah...

Especially steel M390. A lot of positive feedback. And the length of the blade normal. Bearings MRBS

Yeah....the Shiro Will has is S30. If I'm going to spend that much, I would most certainly prefer M390, S90V, S110V, 204p.... Need to get rid of my Brend to.

before you go dropping a bunch of cash on a Moon, ore even buy from him....use the search feature and read up on his reputation. The guy has been banned from multiple forums. Best of luck on your search!

I know Will....he's a good guy in my book. I know many who have done business with him, all more than satisfied and impressed.

If you don't mind Chinese knives Kizer makes some great flipper knives on ball bearings. I would suggest getting one of there newer models because they seem to have just about perfected everything you could look for in the newer models.
