Got my first Sebenza, a little underwhelmed...at first

I had the same hard opening underwhelmed at first. I have had the thing apart 4 times in 2 days trying different oil/grease. Well i went with mpro 7 and it made it super smooth and quick. MUCH easier on the thumb. Just gentle push with the thumb and she pops right open with ZERO wrist flick. Carried it for 3 days with no lint issues. I got the large and i probably will not get a small. Next knife is an xm-18....

The insingo series is awesome, you're gonna have to check them out too.

Nice gift .
I gifted myself with a small sebe - felt the same a bit underwhelmed and hard to open.. As I used it I realized how soild and high quality is in the product.
Picked up a lg on the exchange forum ..
funny its easier to open[it was not used much so I don't think thats a big factor]
I think its a different leverage point -wider -easier.
I also picked up a Mnandi so you know I could see you buying a large ;)

If you like the small you will love the large.

Yes, yes you do need a large , and then you will be completely in love :D

Thumper, now that you got a taste of the Koolaid u need to jump in and go for Large Sebe as well. You cant just have one without the other,,,,I just got my small today after getting a large last week,,,YOU NEED BOTH!

Talk you out of it? Clearly, our intentions are for you to go broke from buying so many, and eventually having to sell the knives to us at ridiculously reduced prices :D

You guys are evil! ;):D:D My wallet hates you. :D:p

Looks like I will have to get a large, umnumzaan and an insingo or 2....

...so many CRKs, so little cash. :grumpy: Oh, well, all in good time.

You guys have talked some sense into me. Clearly I *need* a large.

thanks,

Knives are a terribly vicious circle. You start with a few lesser expensive knives, move on to others that you think are cool, learn a little (or a lot), and then upgrade.

I started a few years ago, buying $75 knives, second-hand. One of the last ones I just sold was $1200. Just wait…you’re just starting.

CRK is an excellent value in a very usable, nice carrying knife. I have worked my way though a lot of different manufacturers & makers, but still carry a small Sebenza in my pocket on a regular basis. That little sucker is a cornerstone in my regular rotation.
