Been looking for a flipper to add to my collection and chose a ZT 0566.

This knife is smaller than I'm used to, but it fits my hand perfectly, it also has a little weight to it which I prefer! The Elmax blade was sharp out of the box and the fit and finish is top notch! It's also my first frame lock and it locks early with absolutely no blade play. The low ride clip and its ease in and out of the pocket makes it a very nice EDC blade! The assisted opening is very tame and the flipper is a little stiff, but a little lube and using it has made it better and better as I go! The G 10 scale is perfectly not overdone in grippiness! Over all it's an outstanding knife!

Great size edc knife, very solid. Little on the heavy side, but I loved mine with the assist bar removed. I was a fan of the elmax.. Forget what others say.
One night I got really sloppy drunk and gave mine away.. Missed her, so I had to buy another.. But the weight got to me, as my other knives were much lighter, so I just recently sold it.

Initial stiffness seems to be a common theme with this model, and I was pretty put off by it at first on my 0566, but it has smoothed out over time and is now one of my most-carried EDC folders. I don't mind the weight, and the size is pocket-friendly.

Lol gave it away while pissed! That must have been a good night.

The stiff flipper eases up over time. Just needs a little break-in period. I like mine just fine the way it came, assist and everything. It's my most frequently carried modern folder.

I really miss my 566. It was also my first zt. I thought it felt great in hand and I always went back and forth on assisted and not assisted opening with it. It would have been a home run if they had made with titanium instead of stainless steel.

ZT 0566 is definitely one of my favorite, pocket friendly, EDC knives. I love the ergos in the hand and the overall proportions & features. Congrats!

Nice - good pics too - congratulations.

best
