Well, it took me a while, but I finally managed to get a Dodo through trade (thanks John!). Mine is blue G-10, plain edged. I'm told this is the most common of the Dodos. It fits like a glove, no matter what grip I'm using. After moving the pocket clip to the left side (I'm a lefty) it was perfect. I didn't need to sand down the G-10 to prevent ripping my pocket up, either. I just draw it by the pointy butt and it comes out without struggle.
Here are the pics...

Nice catch that and the mini manix are two of the few spydies i have wanted for a while, but alas they are both discontinued :(.

Ive had mine for about a week now and I love it. Its so unique and versatile its now my edc.

Loved the one I had, but it just took too much width in my jeans (and at the time, switched to slacks - wrong "look"). I personally preferred the PE version over the SE version.

Use it, it begs to be used - great thick blade, delicate tip, and a sweet recurve. I have NEVER seen a knife that thick go through cardboard, open boxes, etc so fast and easily.

The spine is thick, but the tip is quite thin. It makes the overall package quite versatile.

swopped mine back for my paramilitary i sold someone.... but what an awesome little knife....

I had a good Dodo experience today. I manage a store and today we received our first ship of Xmas products. I usually carry either my Dodo SE, or orange Rescue as a work knife. I brought the Dodo today after not using it for a month or so, as I knew there would be a lot of boxes to open, some with plastic strapping and zip ties. Our cosmetics manager asked me if I had a knife she could use, and I handed her the Dodo. "what is this!" ,"is this what you carry in the woods? (likes to make fun of my outdoor enthusiasm)", and "I am going to kill myself with this!" I showed her how to open/close it and assured her it was safer than a box cutter. An hour later later and I see her carrying it clipped in her back pocket, and opening it one handed in a flash to use like a pro! she didn't want give it back!
I think we have a convert here. Spyderco should bring it back in a new range of colours and market it to the retail community!

I just handled a Dodo yesterday at the Saskatoon knife shop. They are quite pricey because it is canadian funds and a mall boutique but they have some great discontinued spydies like the Dodo ,the Manix and a couple old Lum designs.

I got to handle the Dodo and was very impressed with the feel of the ergonomic handle.
Very similar to my ZDP Caly3.

I love the Dodo, but after having lock issues with them, I just never could trust the knife. :( If they bring it back with a different lock, I'll be first in line!
