What an outstanding knife. If you like the CQC-7, then you would love the HD-7. Ergonomics are actually a little better for me due to the deeper choil & grooves. Definitely got my money's worth.

That folder design is an all time winner. Halfneck, is that Ti bead-blasted? Cheers to you both on your HD-7"s! The Krein grind on mine makes it look like a Custom.

who did the Krein grind for you and how much did it cost? Or did you do it yourself?

F---Tom Krein did the grind at $35. plus shp>$10. The blade is now a True chisel grind and it is my sharpest folder! Let Tom know what you plan to use the knife for and he will recommend the correct grind. You will be blown-away. Folks who see the knife now, just gawk and ask, who did this!!

Lycosa - Yes the Titanium is beadblasted & not stonewashed. The place I got it from must have older HD-7s in stock, as mine is dated 2004.

Tom Krein's regrinds are incredible. I have a CQC-12 that he re-profiled for me to a standard grind & it is a razor. Not sure if I'll have him do a re-grind on the HD-7 yet. I am most likely going to send my HD-7 to be mod'ed with a Green Linen Micarta scale & backspacer.

Halfneck--That knife looks good with the BB! You better post some pics of your pimped HD when it comes back. Ill be watch'n for it.

Can we see pics? I am going to be modding my HD-7 a bunch and am interested in the regrind.

I picked one up on a trade over a week ago, & I was amazed. It's definitely more comortable than my standard CQC7 (A '99 non-wave model).

This one had tiger stripes put on the Ti, ala Strider & was sharpened by STR (He did both). I just can't get over how thick the Ti frame-lock is. I have not had or seen a ZT 0300, yet, but I had a Strider SnG & I swear the frame lock is thicker & has better contact on it than my SnG (A 6th gen. tanto).

I'm sure I'm not the 1st & only person to say this, but if ONLY Emerson would put a real V grind on his knives...that HD7 would be about perfect.

HKuser---Bro, I do have a pic but I'll have to wait till the wife gets home to send it. How do you like H&K? I have a 93 A-2 5.56. Love it. I did trade my P9s for a Glock-17.

Sweet cant wait for pics as I just got my HD-7 delivered just now! I love HK so much that I am selling all my other guns and buying HK's. I have been moddifying my Tactical 45 and the trigger is awesome now.

Nice USP! And that little tooth-pick underneath the USP aint bad either! As far as your HD-7, what will you use it for? Tom's grind will give you a true chisel grind which is an excellent cutter. Tell Tom what you will use the knife for and he will put on the correct grind. Tom can also show you a pic of an HD-7 regrind, faster than I can! Talk later.

HKuser---Google Krein knives. I'll try to post that pic tonight. Post if you see Tom's first. It'll knock you back! Sorry my wife has been very busy! I'm learn'n hoe to do this stuff!

HK---Did Tom Krein get you a pic of the regrind on the HD-7? I really want you to see his work. Get back to me. Thanks.

Dang, Ernie ain't making it easier for me, is he? Now I have to force myself (at knife point) to get a HD 7 or CQC 12 :D
