got my Izula!

Friend gifted me an Izula for my birthday coming up. I just received it. It will be my first RAT. It came shaving sharp just as I expected. What to do now...is find some paracord from the surplus store.

So can I join the RAT pack now?

Congrats on the IZULA, you'll be addicted soon enough. Usually happens in the first 24 hours, thats when more rat knives start showing up.

I love this thing. I wonder how many people were introduced to RAT with the Izula. The quality and what you get for less than a Ulysses is out of this world.

Congratulations! I'm with you, just got my first Izula yesterday and it's everything I had hoped for and more. I see a HEST in the near future...and an RC3....ooohh..and an Izula folder hopefully by the end of the year...I'm hooked!

Got one in a batch trade a year or so ago, and foolishly let it go. I'm after one again. harkamus, congrats on the new steel!

What color did ya get? Pics of your paracord wrap are obligatory, of course.

I got a black one. I must have the crappiest luck with obtaining paracord. No one near me had it so I ordered from a place that's like 40 miles away from me, still in the same state. I placed the order Monday, MLK day. The order should have processed and shipped out on Tuesday. It got sent with USPS and is still not here. Pics are still inbound whenever I get paracord. One thing I'm trying to decide is how to tie off the ends. I'd like to tie it off like this, but haven't figured out how he tucks the knot underneath.

Very nice I have my Izula so sharp it WILL split hairs!

When you get to the base of the circular whole the two ends will meet and you will have two parallel tales hanging off. Take those and run them through the bottom of the other hole (not the circular one) this will stretch the two tales across the circular hole. now on the other side of the knife take those tales and put them through the middle of the circular hole one on either side of the tales that go across the hole, now tie those two in a square knot. just take it step by step and I am pretty sure it will make sense.
