What was the superglue for? Looks like a good functional wrap to me. I like to use the micarta slabs and wrap the pommel though. To me it doesn't feel right if the pommel isn't wrapped.
 
I tried a duo tone wrap, I gutted the cord stuck one end into the other. glue was to make the connection stronger. It didn't. Better to just get it hot to were it melts and squeeze the ends together. Don't bs a bs'er Kenny looks like caca but everything I have has flaws, guess that is why I am such a character. The dang sheath is loose all ready, I plan to tighten the molle clip screws and see If that works. Going to add a lanyard with clip the kit has to help keep the knife secure and some butthole from yanking it out and stickin me.

My izula 2 has the micarta grips, I wanted a paracord handle to be cool.

Well, I wasn't saying that it was anything to look at. :P I just don't find looks to be that important. This is what my setup looks like...

I just used a thread and needle to sew the ends together, maybe you could try that instead of the glue?

I get the two-toned paracord wrap without joining the two ends.
I hold two lengths of para side by side and wrap as normal:
