Got My Junglas!

.1875 inches is pretty darn stout...

but you'd be surprised how many people whine for .25 or BIGGER. oiy!

junglas is definitely on my radar :)

Bladite

.25 is great on some blades. The Becker BK2 and ESEE-5 without question have benefits with that thickness. On a knife like this though, you wouldn't want it that thick.

Bladite, get the Junglas ASAP, you'll love it!

As requested here's a couple comparison picks of the Junglas and a Becker BK7. Sorry, don't have a BK9 to add to the mix, but hope this helps some.

And a side by side. Junglas on the left obviously. Sorry for the quality on this pic, not the greatest.

Luv the looks of those CF grips on the BK's... the Junglas' aren't bad, either. Better than looks, however, the CF on the Junglas actually feels great -- nice texture combined with perfect ergos for my particular hand size and wants.

"Now that's a knife!"

Great knife man, I'm sure you'll enjoy it so.

Not more Junglas topics! I'm tempting to upgrade from the RTAK2... must... resist...

Congrats btw :)

I was surprised by how much I liked the handles on mine. When you first look at pictures of it, it's all about that 10 inch blade. When it came in, I held it in my hand and the handles blew my mind. They are full, comfortable, and just beg for it to be used...

I am going backpacking in Kettle Moraine State Forest tomorrow in Southeast WI, and my Junglas and I should have some fun setting up camp, building a shelter, etc.

GREAT spot this time of year. Where specifically? Around Baraboo? I used to work in Greenbush and mountain bike/hike after work every day on the Ice Age Trail and Greenbush trail system. I'd imagine the Junglas would make a heck of a blade for fall woodsbumming there. As for the Holy #@$T moment, my mom ordered one for me for Christmas-she couldn't understand why one would spend so much on a knife, but described it as 'impressive' when she got it...
