Got my knife back from Ben @ EdgePro

Also the fact that you can sharpen knives are almost infinite angles on the Edgepro is a big plus over the Sharpmaker. I have both and use the sharpmaker more often, but when I need to rebevel, or seriously resharpen, the Edgepro comes out.

The only downside to the EdgePro system is that you have to be careful not to scratch the side of your blade, where it moves over the table. You just need to tape it up, is all.

Taping the blade is a good idea, rather than the table, as there will be tiny shavings that could muck up a handsome satin finished blade.

Thanks Bear. I'll keep that in mind, since a couple of my knives (including the Dragonfly) have got nice finishes on the blades that I'd hate to mess up with a sharpener. I don't mind so much if they get nicked or scratched a bit from use...

Shalom,
Mark
