Yeeeehaawww! I can search now! My name says "Knifemaker" after it! I can sell stuff! I'm stoked, guys....:D

Congrats! I feel sort of self conscious about my Knifemaker 'badge' (I'm just a newbie amateur hack), but I wanted to be able to search, sell stuff, and to support the site that has helped me immensely along the way.

Don't know how you guys do it. That title is way too much pressure for me. ;)

Patrice

S'why i got a membership myself that doesn't say knifemaker ;)

Hey Salem,

Congrats. I hope you read the small print. There are some pretty heavy stipulations. For instance, you now have to post and complete at least one work in progress knife every month (or is every week, I forget). You also have to do a give away every other month (that I remember quite clearly ;)). And don't forget, you have to host and train (including providing fuel and materials) at least ten new knife makers each year.

Yup, we're real glad to have you on board.

(By this time you may have noticed that many of us round these parts hold to lesser levels of membership. Well, we may just be a little bit chicken sh_t, but don't tell anyone. ;))

All the best, Phil

Congrats! Thinking of doing the same shortly, kinda wating to see what my Doc, has to say about this brain injury when I go back before I pony up the money.
Hey, I look at it this way I didn't set up the system, the system is set up to make money for the site and for that you get perks. We all know a name or title is just that,it's the experience behind that title that means something!
But I already make knives, and I do it all on my own dime, so I guess that does mean I am already a knifemaker!:D
Oh and by the way I will expect my first knife by the end of the month, and I want to be first to be signed up for newb course under your guidance, by the way I need to fil my tank to get there. I figure a $100 ought just about cover it!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D

Good lord, guys! It appears that I have shouldered a heavy, heavy burden here all unwittingly. I guess I'll have to quit my day job and move back to the mainland just to accomodate all of my obligations. My wife really ruined my life by telling me I could go ahead with this. Well, she didn't think that one over so well, since she's stuck with me...

Really, though, thanks for your acceptance and wit ,everyone. Patrice, YOU are a knife maker whether it says so after your name or not.

Dixieblade, I agree with the second and third sentences of your post...:D
