interesting contraption. So far I have sharpened a SW howler, a rat tail and a game warden and my BM 630 skirmish. All were taken to 1000 grit and the 21 degree setting, which seemed to match all but the game warden which was way thicker on the edge. After an hour it is getting alot closer, future sharpenings will fix that.

I think I am happy with it. Time will tell on the long term edges.

I would like some feedback on tips and results

thanks

The main tip to keep in mind is that the FIRST time sharpening each knife can take allot of time due to the angles and how much steel needs to be removed.
However if you note angles used, re sharpening at a later date can be a simple and very quick job.

Watch the video several times....then start with beaters. Once you understand what you are doing, it'll never let you down.

If you measure/record the distance the rest is from the table end - it will make setup for that knife quicker and more constant (for next time).

Blue painter's tape placed on the blade surfaces, except for the edge, keep metal slurry from abrading the faces of your blades. I also use blue tape to re-cover the EdgePro's knife resting surface.

Wash you hands thoroughly after sharpening. The fine metal particles could find their way into your eyes.

I use 3M peel-and-stick abrasive paper to polish/finish the sharpened edge to a mirror finish. Not necessary but looks the biz.

Excellent choice of sharpeners. The EdgePro has enabled me to turn almost any chunk of metal into a razor that cuts with buttery ease.

Best,
