Got my New ESEE 6 yesterday & firestick

you can always try dryer lint and petroleum jelly.

unfortunately. most of my "lint" is cat and dawg fur.

wish i had an easier time finding fatwood in my area.

One thing to note about dryer lint is that with today’s detergents and smell-goods, lint can get a waxy, plastic feeling to it. It doesn’t burn that well in many cases. Make sure you test it before taking it out. PJ cotton balls burn much longer, larger flame, and are more consistent. They also don’t break down as much over time as lint will. Just food for thought.

Just as I thought. You guys here would have the best info for me. So I'm off to test both the PJCS & Lint. Just from me being a bit of a pyrohead, my guess is those PJCS's are going to work quite well. Thanks for all the info. Who knows, what this info when passed around, that life may be saved. Been cold and Don't like it. Props to you guys. Thanks and as allways, Enjoy. edgy:thumbup:

I also have PJCBs in my ESEE fire kit. I find that it only takes a little bit to start a fire. You could probably get four or five fires out of one cotton ball once you pull it apart. I tested them out on a camping trip just this week and they worked great!

Lates,

Connor
