Got my new sword... AK47

This is the blade i've been looking for. I've gone through a dozen or so "zombie killer" blades looking for my perfect SHTF blade. This is it.

The slight curve and long handle make it an AWESOME slasher, and it's thick enough that i don't have to worry if i need to use it for prying, chopping trees, or stabbing Zombies in the skull

This may not be my most practical blade, but it's my favorite sword to date

It's not traditional, but it speaks to me :)

Congrats! That is a nice looking setup. Really attractive looking leatherwork too! I think you said it all when you said it speaks to you. That is all I ever seem to care about when I find that certain blade.
Enjoy it!!

Nice grab.

I really want one also, think it would go great with my Waki and Rucki.

However since they haven't been made in a while now finding a "deal" on them is kind of hard.

I am jealous,,, have a few busse knives and kin too, but these are on my list to acquire

I'm going to necro this thread to respond to Falar.

You can get a better deal direct from the busse custom shop than you'll EVER get buying on the secondary market. These blades go up in value, not down.

They're expensive, but i can't imagine any normal use that would ever damage one. Pm me if you want to know what mine cost me from the custom shop

Are you really that much of an attention whore that you just couldn't PM a guy who posted a question back in MARCH?

Best Regards,

Why for you bring the grumpy? The info may be relevant to others, so i posted it here. The silly pissed off attitude is really just a bit childish

Would you mind shooting me a PM with the info as well, Chris?

I think STeven might have had less of a concern if you'd phrased your response as something like "I'm going to necro this to respond to Falar's question because I feel the answer might help others as well," by the way. I think his concern is that you suggested you were necroing it for Falar's benefit, and, as necros are frowned upon, as he points out, the information should then have been PM'ed. However, it sounds like you meant it for the benefit of other random users who might read the thread. I could be entirely wrong, however.

You weren't wrong, CF.

It's sort of a sword, and while it's cool that the OP really digs it, does it really warrant a kick up from the last post 4 months ago?

There were 5 responses to the initial post, perhaps indicating the underwhelmingness of it in a sword centric area. Were it in the Busse s/f, there would have been a 100+ high-fivin' "yeah bros"....as it should be.

You can get those in INFI!;)

Weird though that the poster wrote

Then a response that buying direct is the way to go? I do see the shop pages list the product and options. Is it a wait for delivery that is an issue for some?

What have you been chopping up with it?

Cheers

GC

Beautiful sword BePrepared! Definately on my grail list. Thanks for sharing your set up too.

Love the sheath- gotta be a Rainwalker.

Actually the sheath is a chuddy bear. Man is magic with leather!

I probably did phrase my necro post the wrong way, as it was intended to make the info available to everyone who might be interested.

Almost every Busse model is available from the custom shop at or near the prices listed in this thread
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/862788-Busse-Combat-(and-Kin)-Price-Guide

Most of the time, buying from the custom shop will be much cheaper than buying on the secondary market if you want any of the highly popular blades (the AK47 is one of those) but the wait can be quite long. It took me 9 months to get my AK47.

Quoted for truth. :)

funny that i've gotten several emails from people asking for details on my post. Guess not everyone agrees with you ;)

I will never understand why people feel the urge to whine about someone else's post. If i don't like a post, i ignore it. I don't think i've ever seen the point of complaining about it.

Bullshit

I didn't whine about your post....and I did ignore it.....until you revived the deadness.

I stand by the statement that if this thread had been posted in the Busse s/f it would have gotten massive response. It's a GREAT Busse get, the scabbard is an awesome part of the package.

However....this is the Sword s/f.....if we had more people that participated who were part of the sword community at large, we might get some traction.....these are generally speaking, people who would be underwhelmed by your Busse goodness. Do you see me posting lots of swords from my collection here? No.

The reason is that my swords are tools and less visually interesting than say a post from Crimson Falcon...and I tend to look at the Sword s/f on BFC with the thoughts about what is best for the s/f, and not necessarily what I would like to post up.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson
