Ohhhhh mannnnnn .... Look like a really bad batch .... for $800+ I would expect perfection.... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEKkKK~!!!!! That is pretty darn fugly...
the #13 has more of the orange and the other is more green.
Think it has to do with hand shaping and depending on just how many layers are removed in the sanding determines the color that is most visible???
Dennis, I believe they are linen too.
Matches the original cult
so personally I am happy
Stirrrrr that pot OJ.
Seems you've been really unhappy with Busse for a while now, might be time to move on?
Just sayin.

Cranky old leather bender indeed.. Hey who the heck is OJ ????? Are you calling me a Murderer ??? WTF ?? man , not cool...
I don't understand your post at all ...![]()
Oh, I love Busse by the way , I hate poor quality control...![]()
I feel that the slabs are the luck of the draw. If I want them to look a certain way then I'll buy 5-10 and pick the two I like best.
I don't see how quality control can dictate how the layers of micarta will pattern on any given slab.
It is like going to pick granite counter tops and being disappointed because mother earth dropped a little brown in your salt & pepper granite. You just have to roll with it.
..
Stirrrrr that pot OJ.
Hauser,
Perhaps you should of called me at the Busse Combat office at
419-923-6471 Monday thru Friday 9am to 5pm with your problem
I do know for a fact that several people who have posted pics of the LE NMFBM have added some mineral oil or what not to enhance the colors of the tiger linen.
Also I know that our inspection crew is TOP NOTCH and sometimes with ALL of the knives that we ship things happen but we always "make it right" and ALL OF THE LE NMFBM's were Tiger Linen:thumbup:
and that is all I am gonna say about this
Call us at the office or PM me cause we will make you happy
WE HAVE THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AROUND:thumbup:

I take your point, but I've also got to agree that some of the old(er)-school handles were more aesthetically pleasing. The mixed-color Micarta doesn't appear to have the same crisp lines that it used to -- the colors blend. I've seen some green linen on Sus Scrofas that was outstanding, but in general, I think the Micarta has a somewhat muddy look lately. I'll usually go with G10 if I want a high contrast combo; I really like the look of my Black/Black & Tan NMFBM.Agreed. This is not a quality control issue. It's just a variance issue.
To add to Tony's analogy, it's sort of like getting upset because your stag slabs are not symmetrical matches.
Mine were "greener" than usual, though there was still a bit of the brown we've seen in the past. Different, but good.
Also agreed that if you're truly unhappy with the coloring, you should call the Shop and see what they can do for you.
