Got my RAT 5!!! But ....

There's nothing wrong with the design of the RAT-5, it's the manufacturer associated with it.

I still like the designs that were done pre-RC but the RAT Cutlery products ARE FAR BETTER all the way around - personnel, warranty, product.

I understand completely how disappointed you would be - I own both knives and the RAT-5 is not anything close to the RC-5 in any way.

As you said in another way...Caveat Emptor.
 
D2, like mentioned is brittle. Id take 1095 over a D2 on a large bladed survival knife any time.

Man theres sooo many knives I want and I have sooo little money :(. Looks like an RC-5 is added to the ever-growing list.
